Presidents’ Awards

Sport BC is pleased to announce the Presidents’ Awards will take place prior to the 58th Annual Athlete of the Year Awards on Thursday, March 5, 2026.

The Presidents’ Awards celebrate outstanding volunteers from Sport BC member organizations who go above and beyond in supporting their sport and community. These awards recognize individuals whose dedication, energy, and commitment make a meaningful impact on their organization and the athletes they serve. Each member organization may nominate one volunteer per year, highlighting the incredible contributions of those who embody the spirit of volunteerism in BC sport.

The Presidents’ Awards Ceremony will take place on Thursday, March 5, 2026, at the Fairmont Hotel Vancouver prior to the 58th Annual Athlete of the Year Awards.

Founded in 1994, Sport BC’s Annual Presidents’ Awards promote and celebrate the spirit of volunteerism by giving member organizations an opportunity to acknowledge and thank an individual who has demonstrated outstanding dedication and commitment to their sport.

2022 Event

SPORT BC MEMBERS ONLY: The Presidents’ Awards will be presented in a ceremony prior to the Athlete of the Year Awards on March 6, 2025 at the Hotel Vancouver.

Sport BC announces Presidents’ Awards Recipients

Sport BC recognizes the importance of volunteers in sport. The significant role volunteers play in the sport sector is celebrated through Sport BC’s Presidents’ Awards. The Presidents’ Awards presented by Sports With Balls are given to volunteers from Sport BC member and partner organizations who demonstrate the spirit of volunteerism through the dedication, commitment, and tireless energy they give to their sport organizations. The 37 recipients for 2020 were celebrated during the 54^th Athlete of the Year Awards on Thursday, March 25, 2021.
