Sport BC believes in gender equity in BC sport. The ProMOTION Plus program has been committed to increasing opportunities for girls and women in physical activity and sport since 1990, supporting female athletes, coaches, officials, volunteers, and administrators reach their potential. Under the umbrella of Sport BC, ProMOTION Plus is strengthening its impact by delivering expertise in gender equity and recognition to Sport BC members and the community at large through communication activities and special programs.
Sport BC’s ProMOTION Plus program has partnered with the BC Amateur Sport Fund to raise funds to help cover program costs. Your support will help keep registration costs affordable for programs thereby increasing access and awareness of gender equality issues in sport.
Sport BC is committed to building stronger communities through sport. As a leader in Canadian sport philanthropy, Sport BC is proud to have created both the KidSport and BC Amatuer Sport Fund programs. Both of these programs have grown to become national in scope and are recognized by Canada Revenue Agency as Registered Canadian Amateur Athletic Associations (RCAAA).
