At Sport BC we strive to promote participation in sport and sport excellence and believe recognition of excellence can inspire future participation.
Sport BC offers various recognition events throughout the year in order to promote and reflect the values of sport and the critical role of Provincial Sport Organizations in the delivery of successful sport systems. We develop these events to celebrate athletes, coaches, officials, and sport management volunteers who keep sport alive in our province.
Sport not only promotes an active lifestyle, it also facilitates economic and community development across the province when we host these events. Our signature events include the Athlete of the Year Awards, the Community Sport Hero Awards, and Presidents’ Awards.
