Community Sport Hero Awards
Community Sport Hero® Awards presented by Teck
Celebrating its 11th year, the Community Sport Hero Awards recently formed a new three year partnership with Teck Resources Ltd. The program recognizes coaches, officials, mentors and administrators who have dedicated themselves to amateur sport at the community level. Since its inception in 2001, 50 Provincial Sport Organizations have honoured 447 sport volunteers in 39 different communities. In the upcoming year, four new communities will be visited.
In 2012, the Community Sport Hero Awards presented by Teck will make the rounds to eight communities. We return to the communities of Trail, Nelson, Kamloops and Parksville/Qualicum and we will also be making our first appearance in Delta, Sparwood, Sunshine Coast and Vancouver to present these prestigious awards.
