Janyk on the Rise
For the first time this season, Whistler’s Mike Janyk nearly reached the podium following an outstanding run at the FIS World Cup Men’s Slalom. Just 0.13 seconds shy of third place, Janyk finished fourth with the second-fastest time in his second run at the course (52.34sec). Janyk has posted two top five finishes in the last couple weeks on the circuit. With a disappointing start to the 2010 – 2011 season, Janyk now feels his confidence is returning and will hopefully use these great results to take the next step on the podium.
