Thompson Okanagan FC/ BC Soccer Premier League Information Meeting ~ April 25th!

KAMLOOPS, BC––Dante Zanatta, the newly appointed Technical Director for the Thompson-Okanagan Football Club, will be speaking in Kamloops on Monday, April 25th at 2:30pm in Room C at the Tournament Capital Centre.

The Thompson-Okanagan Football Club was recently awarded the lone interior franchise in the new BC Soccer Premier League, which officially kicks-off in 2012. TOFC was awarded one of eight franchises in the new high performance league, which will replace the Super Y program that has been in existence for the last decade.

Zanatta, who was until recently the Programs Coach and Manager of Grassroots and District Development Centre Programming for the BC Soccer Association, took up the reigns at TOFC in March. He is coming to Kamloops to talk about how the TOFC club fits into the new BCSPL set-up and how this significant development will impact Kamloops coaches and players.

This information-sharing meeting is open to anyone interested in TOFC and the BCSPL. There is no cost to attend the meeting and pre-registration is not required.

In other TOFC news, the club has announced that Graham Cope has been appointed as TOFC’s inaugural representative on the BC Soccer Premier League Board of Governors.  Graham is the President of the Kamloops Youth Soccer Association and a strong  advocate of the BCSPL.

In the meantime, TOFC has begun its search for qualified coaches. Interested coaches must apply by May 5, 2011. More details and a Coach Application Form can be found on the TOFC web site at
