Women’s World Cup season kicks off in Lake Louise with BC-born Britt Janyk leading the way

The Bombardier Lake Louise World Cup event kicks off on Friday in Lake Louise, AB providing BC skiers Britt Janyk (Whistler) and Georgia Simmerling (North Vancouver) a chance to stretch their legs. Janyk is Canada’s medal hopeful this year, with team stalwarts Emily Brydon (Fernie, BC) and Kelly VanderBeek (Windsor, ON) out after retirement and a knee injury respectively.
