Rebecca Marino named Tennis Canada’s female player of the year

Rebecca Marino’s star continues to rise. On Monday, Marino – the tennis phenom who recently made a splash at the US Open when she took on Venus Williams – was named Tennis Canada’s female player of the year. The 19-year old is the first BC tennis player to win the award since 2001 and, at number 102 on the WTA tour and rising, BC may not have to wait that long before she is crowned again.
