Canada’s Female Steve Nash

Teresa Gabriel, a 30 year old Point Guard from Mission B.C. is making a name for herself these days. The dynamic 5’5″ female played in some pro European leagues when she was younger. Now, she works at her parents bakery and stocks shelves at the Abbotsford Cosco. She dreams of the 2012 Olympic Games in London and hopes to add to her tally of Olympic Games appearances after becoming the youngest player on the team that went to Sydney in 2000. Teresa and her teammates played some exhibition games here in B.C this week in preparations for the World Championships in the Czech Republic next month. The wrapped up the four game series with Sweden and Chile with four wins out of four and last night they beat Sweden 66-39.
