IHG – InterContinental® Hotels Group is the Official Hotel Chain of Sport BC
Sport BC has negotiated a National Partnership with IHG - InterContinental® Hotels Group, the largest hotel chain in the world including: InterContinental® hotels, Crowne Plaza® hotels, Hotel Indigo® hotels, Holiday Inn® hotels, Holiday Inn Express® hotels, Staybridge Suites® hotels, and Candlewood Suites® hotels.
The Goal of the Partnership is to capitalize on the vast number of hotel rooms booked on an annual basis by the BC Sports Community:
- To use that volume of room nights to obtain best available rates for the membership at appropriate hotels across Canada.
- To provide Sport BC member teams and clubs with deeply discounted group and transient rates giving the opportunity to reduce expenses.
The benefits for participating teams, clubs and sporting individuals are as follows:
Group or Team Bookings

IHG – InterContinental® Hotels Group will set rooms aside for the event and provide a block-booking contract at participating Holiday Inn and Holiday Inn Express hotels in BC and Alberta, which will include:
- A minimum of a 15% discount off the best available rate for group blocks of 10 rooms or more peak night.
- All rates will be non-commissionable.
- Priority Club® Meeting Rewards Points will be given for each group booking that requires 10 rooms or more on peak night. Please visit www.priorityclub.com/meetingrewards for more information.
Individual Travel Program:
Individual accommodation can be booked at a minimum 7% discount from best available rates through the Sport BC website. The Sport BC/ IHG – InterContinental Hotels Group reservation website can be used by ANYONE connected to the Sport BC organization for business, pleasure or family vacations. These better than best available rates will be for any participating IHG – InterContinental® Hotels Group property in Canada providing fabulous discounts.
