Canada Winter Games headed to Prince George in 2015

Premier Campbell made the announcement Friday that the City of Prince George will host Canada’s Winter Games in 2015. Prince George beat out both Kelowna and Kamloops in the bid to host the first Winter Games in BC. Canada Summer Games have previously been held New Westminster/Burnaby in 1973 and Kamloops in 1993.

The LPGA is coming to Metro Vancouver in 2012 for the first time since 2003. Vancouver Golf Club will be the site of the 2012 CN Canadian Women’s Open August 20-26, 2012. The 2010 competition wrapped August 29 in Manitoba and Quebec is the province scheduled to host the 2011 tournament.
